Biography

I am a licensed psychologist that offers individual therapy and psychological assessments. I specialize in working with women and non-binary individuals ages 17 and above that are experiencing anxiety, panic, ADHD, trauma, and mood disorders. I also conduct psychological assessments to clarify psychological diagnoses for both men and women, including evaluations for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), severe mental illness, or any psychological disorder(s) that would benefit from an in-depth assessment.

Perhaps you’re seeking therapy at this time because you’re struggling to do daily activities because anxiety gets in the way, or you live in fear of experiencing panic attacks or trauma triggers. Or maybe you’re so distracted and disorganized, you’re struggling to complete important tasks or connect with others because you can’t keep up in the conversation. Whether you are seeking services at this time for support during a crisis or to better understand and change behaviors that are no longer effective in getting you what you need, I strive to meet you exactly where you are in your journey. I will walk alongside you, providing a compassionate and safe environment wherein we work together to help you process your experiences and develop the tools needed to relieve your distress so that you can live your life more fully. I will help you identify and utilize your personal strengths, and improve your confidence in your abilities to overcome current and future obstacles.

My approach in the therapy room is compassionate and understanding, supportive and gently challenging, informative and knowledge building, and collaborative and empowering.I enjoy working with individuals that are willing to work hard within the therapy room and between sessions. Working between sessions might look like reflecting on our discussions from previous sessions and practicing individually tailored tools and skills outside the therapy room. Those with a willingness to try new approaches to their problems will likely find greater benefit in our work together.

I am trained in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Process Therapy (IPT), Solution-Focused, Feminist, and Multicultural therapies. I will tailor my therapeutic approach based on your presenting concerns using my clinical knowledge of the most effective and evidence-based treatments for those concerns.
