Biography

Perhaps you or your child are unhappy, anxious, angry, or grieving. Maybe you are recovering from trauma, adjusting to divorce, finding relationships difficult, coming to terms with a bipolar diagnosis, seeking personal growth, or discovering your identity. To begin psychotherapy is to explore the complexity of who and how you are—the sum total of your life experiences, temperament, culture, relationships, and more. Through insight into both formative experiences and present-day struggles and strengths, we will come to understand and address what is interfering with you having the life you desire.

I see adults, couples, children and their families for a wide range of concerns. My practice is rooted in relational, psychodynamic principles, is deeply empathic, and is tailored to meet your or your child's unique needs. Areas of specialty include bipolar disorder, creativity (artists, writers, musicians), and children ages 3-11.

Sessions are once or twice weekly, depending on your needs and goals. My approach is collaborative, and aims to support self-discovery and healing through authentic engagement in the therapeutic process. I welcome your interest, and would be happy to speak with you by phone to discuss the possibility of our working together.
