I'm a psychologist who has been working with adults for over 25 years. My specialty is treating all kinds of anxiety problems. If you suffer from panic, fears, excessive worrying, shyness, or OCD, I can help you.
Seeing patients both in person or over Zoom, I teach tools and techniques for reducing symptoms and changing problematic behaviors. I also help couples when one partner's anxiety or OCD affects the relationship. In addition, I conduct groups for individuals with OCD.
Sessions will involve a lot of active give-and-take. I use evidence-based (CBT) methods which have proven to be highly effective. Expect to get "homework" between appointments. Don't be surprised to see improvement within a few weeks.
If need be, I'll leave the office to help you. For example, I'll get in the car with you if you have a driving phobia. Practicing in the real-world is the essential key to overcoming fears.
It takes a lot of courage to take that first step. You'll find me to be an encouraging coach: I'll be supportive without coddling you, and I'll ask you to push yourself without demanding too much. Together we can work on improving your life.
