Happier Hour: Life Hacks for Well-being
This is a practical workshop to help clinicians teach skills to improve daily mood andcombat stress.
Clinicians learn how to help clients easily start micro-habits designed to improve short and long-term well-being.
The curriculum is based on the latest research and explores habit formation and the science of happiness through savoring and distanced self- talk.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe habit formation and explain how to help clients start healthy habits that improve well-being.
- Identify 2 specific concepts that improve automaticity with habit formation.
- Identify 4 neurochemicals that drive positive emotions throughout our day.
- Explain and connect the science of savoring to daily mood.
- Explain and connect the science of distanced self-talk to taming the critical inner voice.
- Demonstrate 2 practical skills to help clients feel more in control of their well-being.
