Biography
Dr. Kimball graduated cum laude from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and subsequently earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. While in graduate studies, Dr. Kimball completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Casa Pacifica in Ventura County, California treating individuals in emergency crisis care and residential settings. Following the completion of her doctoral training, Dr. Kimball served as Program Coordinator of Positive Behavior Support (PBS) services at Casa Pacifica, assisting in the training, development, and implementation of an agency-wide program in PBS. Dr. Kimball has subsequently served as a consultant to counseling centers and has supervised doctoral students of psychology. She has also worked in private practice and outpatient mental health settings, providing evidence-based treatments and services throughout the states of California and New York.
In her private practice, Dr. Kimball’s treatment interests include working with individuals who struggle with relationships, life transitions, anxiety, mood and emotion regulation issues. In her personal life, Dr. Kimball enjoys practicing yoga, attending baseball games, and spending time with her family, friends, and her adopted rescue dog.
