About this event

Marin County Psychological Association Presents:

Nishi Bhopal M.D.

Introduction to Integrative Psychiatry: Enhancing Clinical Practice

This talk introduces psychologists to the integration of conventional psychiatric treatments with complementary and alternative therapies. The presenter will acquaint you with medical aspects and perspectives of herbal medicine and nutrition.  The presentation will show how adopting a holistic perspective and incorporating mind-body interventions, nutritional approaches, physical activity, and herbal medicine enhances treatment outcomes, empowers patients, and addresses underlying causes. This curriculum is evidence-based and explores the differences in treatment through the conventional and integrative lens.

She is the founder and medical director of Pacific Integrative Psychiatry, an online practice in California where patients receive a whole-person approach to anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders, including nutrition, psychotherapy, and integrative and functional medicine.
