Dr. Binmoeller is a licensed psychologist (PSY31602) specializing in evidence-based therapy and neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Her expertise is in serving individuals struggling with issues related to anxiety (i.e. OCD, phobias, panic, social anxiety, selective mutism, separation anxiety, excessive worries), mood (i.e. depression, emotion dysregulation, bipolar), ADHD, autism, trauma, eating disorders, behavioral challenges, and learning difficulties. She also has extensive experience providing consultation to parents (parent coaching) and schools.
Dr. Binmoeller utilizes a variety of empirically supported treatments, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Based Therapies, Mindfulness-Based Therapies, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and carefully adapts them to meet the unique strengths and needs of each individual. Therapeutic goals often involve helping individuals effectively navigate challenges, build resilience, and foster meaningful relationships. Dr. Binmoeller strives to cultivate a collaborative space where individuals can take the first steps towards living a more engaging, mindful, and enriching life.
Dr. Binmoeller earned an APA-accredited combined Ph.D. in Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology, a M.A. in Research Methodology, and a M.Ed. in School Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She completed her doctoral internship at the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Program at Sarah A. Reed Children’s Center and her postdoctoral fellowship at Seesaw Psychology Group.
