Introduction:
I am a licensed clinical psychologist providing individual, couple, and group psychotherapy and consultation in my Berkeley and San Francisco private practice. I work with people from diverse backgrounds with a wide variety of concerns including relationship issues, depression, anxiety, life transitions, gender identity issues, sexuality, and addictions.
I specialize in working with couples on their relationships and individuals with unresolved trauma, eating disorders and body image concerns, perinatal issues, and infertility. In addition, I am a practitioner of PACT (the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy), EMDR, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (www.sensorimotorpsychotherapy.org). My work is informed by relational, psychodynamic, feminist, trauma, attachment, and sociocultural theories, as well as my background in mindfulness meditation. To reach my private practice please call 510.852.9322 or for more information visit www.dranniceormiston.com.
In addition to my private practice work, I also work with a diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students in the counseling center at UC Berkeley and previously at Mills College and San Francisco State University.
