I work with individuals, couples, and families, tackling a wide range of issues and problems in both short-term and long-term therapy. My approach varies with the nature of the client and the particular issue presented; but I would describe my primary orientation as existential-analytic, meaning a combination of the profound uncovering work of depth psychologies with the emphasis on living fully in the present moment of existential-humanistic and transpersonal psychologies. I also regularly call on techniques borrowed from other approaches, including role-playing, psychodrama, guided imagery, body-centered (hakomi) therapy, dream work, and art therapy. Issues I work with include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, narcissistic wounding, addictions, mid-life transitions, meaning and other existential issues, increasing self-understanding, enhancing self-esteem, communication skills, spiritual development, and integration of spirituality into daily life.
